*1 Units with firmware from 2660 upwards now have 32GB + SDHC support including older units (from HW04 and above type A units).

Units with firmware prior to 2660 or with a older hardware revision have a 2GB limitation.
Some 4GB SD cards (not SDHC) will work. 2GB is the maximum size allowed by the specification of SD however there are some 4GB cards available. One that has been tested to work when formatted as a FAT32 card is the Transcend 4GB Secure Digital Memory Card Class 6 (TS4GSDHC6)

*2 DAB Radio is a £150 option in the UK. Exact details of what is included or retrofitting are not available.

*3 Factory option only for Mark 6. The sound system developed for the Golf by Volkswagen and the Scandinavian hi-fi specialist Dynaudio can be paired with any of the 300 or 500 series units. The Dynaudio sound system offers pure high-tech sound: the four 168 millimeter woofers – made of a magnesium-silicate membrane, a very light 74 millimeter voice coil and an internal magnet design in a stiff plastic basket – provide for precise and powerful bass with high pulse fidelity in the doors and in the rear side panels. The 50 millimeter and 60 millimeter tweeters in the door and side trim supplement this sound with exceptionally clear transparency and complex sound impressions.

The loudspeaker system is supplied by a newly developed, digital 300 Watt amplifier; it consists of eight Class AB output amplifiers. The capabilities offered by the digital sound processor (DSP) for so-called propagation time correction (goal: to make a correction so that sound waves from all loudspeakers reach listeners’ ears simultaneously, regardless of their locations in the vehicle) and frequency equalization guarantee a sound experience of the highest level.

*4 Map data is loaded from CD onto a SDHC card, this card can also be used for MP3’s.

* 6 Unit has AV input on rear however this is not fitted to all head units.

  1. Is it possible to have OPS and RVC at the same time in the RNS315?
My Seat Altea comes with OPS 8(front and rear) and I installed the RVC and module of the Seat Alhambra.

  3. I’ve a Skoda Columbus (A) system. After an update from the firmware to 2XXX and Navigation to version V8, the countrycode is changed. Everything is in Dutch except the country; Hollandia. After an update to V9 the countrycode is changed to Russian; Gollandiya

  5. I am sorry, but I am a little bit confused.
I bought a RNS310 to upgrade from an RCD300. I was told that RNS310 is NOT compatible with Rear cameras, and now I found this table that tells the opposite.
On the RNS310 manual nothing is mentioned on the RVC camera….

    Please clarify me.

    Thank you

  6. Hi,

I am a bit confused with the model number of the radio in my 2012 Skoda Laura (Indian Version of Octavia 2 ). It is written as “Audio Swing” on the facia.. It closely resembles RCD 310, but not sure if this one as well is called RCD 310.

    Here is the picture http://i.ytimg.com/vi/6ZGZhadev8Q/maxresdefault.jpg

I purchased a bluetooth module and harness PART NO.: 1K8 035 730 D REPLACE NO.: 1K8 035 730 C (EM Bluetooth Interface Module BT Kit Control Unit 9W2 For VW RNS510 RCD510), but the socket connecting to the head unit is not compatible with the radio I have.

Is it possible to get a converter jack, if any to make the bluetooth module compatible with my head unit?

    Any help is much appreciated.

  8. Hi,
I am really new to this kind of stuff and have bought a VW Polo recently with RNS 310. The seller took out the SD card and now i don’t know which card do i need to buy and how does it work. Can you please tell me, which kind card should i buy, if i want to use it for Europe?

I realy appreciate your help here.

  9. Does anyone know where I can obtain a user manual for the RCD 310? My supplier Arnold Clark’s of Wishaw thought it was dealt with in the general user manual but it isn’t. They promised to send me a user manual but it is three weeks now and I am getting rather fed up with the delay!

  10. How do you get an RCD310 to remember the position in a playlist? Always restarts with the first track in the first folder in alphabetical order and you have to restart the playlist. Does anyone have this working?

  11. I should add that this is in a 2010 Golf (UK) with a USB stick and M3U playlist. Appreciate any responses even just to say you have same problem or you have it working. At least I would know if someone else suffers this or that there is a solution to be found.
