  • Hi

I recently upgraded my RNS 510 with 5269 firmware. This resulted in the MFD integration not showing info of radio station playing, media playlists or navigation detail like before, How does one rectify this?

    The unit is working fine.

    Hi,

I have a RNS 510 verB (C6) with firmware 4020 and HDD rates 65/35/5. As I saw on “Volkswagen RNS 510 Hardware and Software (firmware) Versions” post this firmware 5269 is last one suggested.
Would hdd rates being modified in case of upgrade FW or they would be remained?

Would you suggest upgrade it or there is no advance between those FW?

    Thanks in advanced.

    Hello,

I have a golf 6 gti of 2012, With reversing camera, park-assist, OPS sensors

I specify that everything is original

    Before updating

    1T0035680H

    H61 3970

    After updating:

    1T0035680P

    H61 5269

1st question: is it normal that my RNS510 has gone from H to P?

2nd question: the reversing camera comes out of the VW badge but does not light up on the screen, I have only OPS for remote sensors that appears. I have already tried with the vagcom in the diagnostic there is as default gateway code which says that at the base there is the 1T0035680H and now there is the 1T0035680P it is as if he is still looking for the 1T0035680H?

3rd question: how to encode the box so that it only works with the 1T0035680P? Do you have a procedure?

While waiting for good news from you, thank you and with my sincere greetings

  • Eric

    Hello,

my skoda superb from 2011 had Columbus rns 510 with partnum 3T0035680C HW H06 and SW 3974, which worked nicely so far.
This week, my audio system had an issue when I started my car, language was back to German and I could not play any media on it (radio, media, navigation) and no sound was coming out of it.
I thought it was dead and I would have to pay a lot to replace it.
Then I found this great forum, and I gave a try to update from version 3974 to 5269, as I thought reinstalling the firmware could help if one part was somehow damaged.
It took me 40 minutes, and by magic all my functions were restored and working !
I am more than greateful to you guys, thank you very much for all these precious information.
