Hi guys just found out my golf R32 MY08 has very basic door controllers in 1k0 959 701 M they have no extra features in them so the puddle lights cannot easily be fitted to this..this also is applicable to adding folding mirrors and dipping while in reverse, the door controllers in the UK cost £200 each so can be very expensive, this also covers entry lights and door handle illumination as the pins are not physically present on the door controller .
Maverick, I want to retrofit mirror dipping for reversing. I believe you have the factory fitted parking sensors and hence dipping mirrors? What door controllers do you have?
I don’t have PDC so haven’t been able to enable dipping mirrors at this stage, will be looking into this further when I fit OPS.
From what I have been able to tell, is that the passenger side door controller needs to be the “Max” type, probably Q variant and the passenger side mirror needs the position feedback potentiometers. Not sure if the driver side door controller needs to be upgraded to the max type or not. I also want to do OPS now that I have got the RNS510 but my sensors are dealer fit, so they will need to be replaced too if the holes are the same size.

I have a 2006 Jetta and I am also keen to update my passenger side mirror to include the PDC function.
When you work out how to do this could you please post the DIY.
Sorry, I meant to say I have PDC, but want to update my non dipping mirrors to dipping.
This is useful information. I’m trying to find out if it’s possible to get the mirrors to fold automatically when locking the car, on my ’09 Scirocco with folding mirrors. I was thinking that maybe I should make a connection between the door LED and the folding-mechanism… (I don’t want to use the pricy module that can do this, before trying it myself).
Anyone knows more about the folding-feature?
@chillout : try to add 4096 to coding at 42 and 52 modules and if new coding is accepted you may be able to fold mirrors by key. vcds 908 min. required. try and post reply !

Can i change on 10w-40
Wich standard is recomended for my car (from 500.00 to 508 standard)
