Door seal noise - yes fixed.
I found the issue was not the rubber seals, but the felt strip that goes around the top of the door (above the rubber seals). Any movement caused much noise/creaking.
Solution:
$4.50 stick of dry lub purchased from any hardware store. Run this along the felt strip of all doors. Noise disappeared!

i've been using rp7. it needs re application about once a month, but anything to stop the damned squeak. the brand of silicon spray lube i have does not recommend its use for extended periods.

My brand new GTI is 6 motnhs old. It will be in the dealership the 4th time to "fix" squeaky door rubbers & the tick-tick-tick noise from B pillars "caused by sunlight" again. The dealership has been helpful & understanding, but let down badly by VW Australia. I have emailed VW Australia, but "no reply" for weeks now. After paying around AUD$50k for a brand new GTI... Do we have to suffer? Any class action due to VW's design fault??

Yeah my GTI had really squeaky door rubbers too when going over speed bumps etc. I sprayed the rubbers with rubber lubricant made by Rare Spares from memory that I bought from Autobarn (in Australia) which is just an automotive parts/accessories shop.

Can was about $25 and it lasted me about 6-12 months.
