Rear Lid Trim
Removal
Remove the two bolts -1- from handle recess (2 Nm).
– Release trim from mountings in rear lid using removal wedge -3392-. Begin along lower edge of rear lid.
– Separate rear lid trim -2- from window frame trim -3- on both sides.
– Pull trim, in area of centralizing pins -4- and -5-, out of mountings in rear lid.
- Remove the two bolts -1- from handle recess (2 Nm).
- Release trim from mountings in rear lid using removal wedge -3392-. Begin along lower edge of rear lid.
- Separate rear lid trim -2- from window frame trim -3- on both sides.
- Pull trim, in area of centralizing pins -4- and -5-, out of mountings in rear lid.
Installation
- Installation is carried out in reverse order of removal.
- Before installing, check the fasteners for damage and renew if necessary.
Additional Removal Instructions with photos
- Remove the two screws from the hand recess
- Remove the two bulb covers using a trim removal tool
- Using the trim removal tool lever down the trim to enable you to get your fingers in
- Looking through the bulb covers you can see the location of most of the clips
- The manual hatch release cover removed, the level opens the hatch.
- The trim being removed
- Clips will sometimes be left behind in the sheet metal, best way to remove them is a pair of pliers on one side and carefully wiggle the clip free. Check the shape of the clips before reusing and replace if damaged.
Window Frame Trim

Removal
- Release trim along sides from mountings in rear lid using wedge -3392-.
- Pull upper edge of trim out of mountings.
- Pull trim, in area of centralizing pins -1- and -2-, out of mountings in rear lid.
Installation
- Installation is carried out in reverse order of removal.
- Before installing, check the fasteners for damage and renew if necessary.














Thanks for the guide. Holding off for my camera kit. One of my clips has come out and is rattling it’s tiny little arse off inside the trim somewhere so can’t wait. Donut want to bother removing it now to fix the rattle.
